Philippine taekwondo took center stage as Master Danrey Velo, President of Samahang Taekwondo ng Pilipinas and Bravehearts Martial Arts Institute, participated in the prestigious 104th International Taekwondo Masters Course and the 55th Poom/Dan Examiner Course. The event, held in the vibrant city of Chicago Illinois, USA gathered 118 participants from around the globe from November 15-20, 2023.  Master Danrey Velo attended this time as a 2nd Class Master and Examiner of which only a 6th Dan Kukkiwon Blackbelt and above are qualified.

This international training, hosted in the United States by the World Masters Taekwondo Union and conducted by the Kukkiwon, the sole authority to give certification recognized around the World, provided a platform for taekwondo practitioners to enhance their skills and deepen their mastery of the discipline. Master Danrey Velo's presence not only represented the Philippines but also underscored the country's commitment to excellence in martial arts.
